HOMEOWNERSHIP MONTH 2019 – TOOLKIT FOR STATE AND LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS
June is National Homeownership Month and we are celebrating the homeowner heroes of today, tomorrow, the future!
Take a minute now to thank Congress for passing the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Homeownership Matters has created a digital toolkit for your use during the month of June. The toolkit includes:
Facebook and Twitter header image
Sample Twitter and Facebook copy
Visual assets sized for Twitter (rectangle, 16:9)
Visual assets sized for Facebook (square, 1:1)
All month long, Homeownership Matters will celebrate the Americans whose success and determination have made them homeowners as well as the policies and programs protecting homeownership now and into the future. The goal is to not only celebrate homeownership today but inspire the next generation of homeowners. We’re asking you to amplify these efforts vis your own social media channels.
How: Use the social toolkit to tweet #HomeownerHero messages from your personal or business account
Why: Celebrate the homeowners across the country and amplify the message of protecting homeownership
Who is a #HomeownerHero?
Any homeowner! Especially ones who are active in their community, advocate for homeownership policies, and help others become homeowners
Public policies or programs that support homeownership i.e. first-time homebuying savings programs

Community organizations working to expand homeownership
Below are a few recommendations and best practices to keep in mind while sharing during Homeownership Month:
Please feel free to use any combination of the sample posts and visual assets. There are recommendations next to each set of copy.
You may, of course, customize the copy. We ask that you use the #HomeownerHero hashtag so that people will know your message is tied to Homeownership Matters’ celebration.
There will be a number of individuals and organizations participating in Homeownership Month. We encourage you to follow the #HomeownerHero conversation and retweet @NAR_homeowners and other participants to amplify the celebration!
